Outdoor Discovery Center of Wildlife Unlimited

The Outdoor Discovery Center of Wildlife Unlimited, found in 2000, is a non-profit, outdoor education facility. The 120 acre nature preserve contains 4.5 miles of fully accesible trails, a 7 acre deer and elk enclosure, over 10 live hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons on public display, and a nature center building hosting a variety of both taxidermy and live animals representing Michigan wildlife.

Tours, museums, and artifacts depict the region's celery farming heritage at this center. In addition, the center features an 1856, one-room schoolhouse, a 1931 grain elevator, playground facilities, a picnic area, biking and walking trails, the Hayloft Theatre, and summer festivals such as Family Festival, New Orleans Festival, and Michigan Shakespeare Festival.

Comprised of 125 acres of natural wetlands, woodlands, meadows and botanical gardens, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is a year round experience with indoor tropical, arid, Carnivorous, Victorian and seasonal gardens, world class changing sculpture gallery with shows by international artists, and outdoor acreage featuring a world-class sculpture park, children's garden, historic Michigan's farm garden, amphitheater for summer concert events, nature trails and board walks. The integration of horticulture and sculpture flows throughout the site, uniquely blending both art and nature, setting it apart from other more traditional botanic gardens or art museum experiences.
