It was designed by a world-class team known for other highly successful museums that reinvigorated communities, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. The Mob Museum showcases the real stories and actual events of Mob history through interactive and engaging exhibits that reveal both sides of this fascinating story.

The SSPOM organization was created in 2007 in order to establish a first class museum showcasing the rich history of the American law enforcement profession. Opening in July of 2009 within the historic 1877 Storey County Jail in fun filled Virginia City, Nevada. The museum features the largest known private collection of U.S. law enforcement memorabilia and has fascinated all visitors since opening in 2009.

Wilbur D. May Museum

The museum houses the lifetime collection of the late Wilbur May -- department store magnate, Reno rancher, big-game hunter, businessman, philanthropist, and world traveler. May made over 40 trips around the world amassing an amazing collection of artifacts including Tang Dynasty pottery, Greek and Roman icons, weapons, and African tribal items. The collection also features a shrunken human head from South America and over 200 pieces of taxidermy.
