The Edward Hopper House Art Center is a dynamic multi-arts center situated in the birthplace and childhood home of renowned American realist painter Edward Hopper (1882-1967). The Art Center presents art exhibitions featuring the work of emerging and established artists and juried theme shows in all styles and media. There are also programs and events for children and adults throughout the year, including an outdoor summer jazz concert series, Artists in the Park event, a December book fair, a monthly poetry workshop, drawing, painting, and photography classes, and much more.

The Museum Gallery is located on the second floor of the White Plains Public Library at 100 Martine Avenue in White Plains. The entrance to the gallery is directly up a flight of stairs (or an elevator) to a lobby area for the gallery, (handicapped equipped) after which visitors enter the gallery through a set of glass doors and immediately view the room inside (shown in the two photos). The gallery has exhibitions of local and regional artists every few months, and all the shows are free and open to the public.

The Historical Society, Inc., a private not-for-profit organization founded in 1889, is dedicated to the study and appreciation of all aspects of the history of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, through educational programs, research, archeological projects, preservation advocacy and the collection and preservation of fine arts, decorative arts, archeological objects, printed and manuscript materials and maps, costumes and weaponry, and historic artifacts related to the heritage of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow.

The major operation units of the Society are: the Jacob Odell landmark house, the museum collections, library (including maps and photographs), archeological workshop, public programs, publications, administrative services and historical architectural preservation programs.
