Gig Harbor, Washington
Culture, History
The Harbor History Museum is a vibrant, hands-on interactive cultural and community center. Our goal is to educate and entertain our guests through a wide variety of exhibits and public programs.
The museum features a permanent exhibit on the history of the Gig Harbor Peninsula, a changing exhibition gallery, a resource room, a restored 1893 one-room schoolhouse, a 65-foot commercial fishing boat, and public programs.
Primary areas of collection and interpretation are commercial fishing, boat building, maritime transportation, and community and domestic life.
